As part of a technology and operations test, Morey’s Piers requested a tablet-optimized application that could run at midway games and facilitate game operation along with payment handling. When an operator prepared for new gameplay, a guest who used a tap-to-pay NFC instant payment device would have that transaction register in the application for immediate viewing of who all the paid players were (the interactive diagram also allowed for cash and override transactions). Potential future use cases included integrating with inventory systems to enable realtime central accounting of distributed winning merchandise.
