There are countless examples of utilizing month-long calendar views that allow users to take date-related actions, but these are often limited in what can be displayed within each day, especially on mobile. If information such as discounts and other data can influence the purchase decision it is important to display. To avoid cognitive overload, one solution is to show a more friendly week-long view. This works particularly well for operations that don’t rely much on advance planning beyond a few days. This was proven by conducting an extensive study whereby client data was analyzed for how soon purchase behavior occurred prior to arrival. (2019)
