As part of Come Out With Pride’s bid to host WorldPride Orlando 2026, we were required to submit a bid book detailing our mission, planning and capabilities. The culmination of nearly five years of work involving individuals, organizations and other stakeholders around Central Florida, this document was a reflection of the boundless love and energy the Orlando community brought to the table. In addition to my role as the lead co-chair, I was also directly involved in the final design and layout of all pages as well as providing copy and editing throughout.
A digital version of the PDF was also produced and was live for the duration of the bid presentation process. I helped transform the entirety of the document — including all imagery and text — into an easy-to-navigate searchable website also featuring translation capabilities into nearly 100 languages.
While the effort was ultimately unsuccessful, our bid was nonetheless considered a world-class example of how a city and its community could showcase itself to a global audience.
