This project was a rebuild of an existing adhoc iOS application into a web-based application, allowing for greater hardware compatibility along with an easier way of managing users. The frontend was created with React, while the original PHP backend was converted to a node.js application integrated with a hosted MySQL database.
This app was intended for workers to record detailed notes about job sites and conditions via a tablet instead of paper forms. A complex grid input system was developed that could be dynamically generated by a JSON schema; the app also sent data to the cloud where emails were automatically generated and administrators could run reports.
